Richmondshire Scout District in North Yorkshire is geographically one of the largest rural Scout Districts in England.
It has a unique connection with the founder of Scouting, Robert Baden Powell, who was stationed at Richmond Castle as its commander and was involved in the setting up of Catterick Garrison for the British Army.
