A group of Scouts from the Richmondshire District are set to travel to London to represent North Yorkshire at the prestigious VE Day concert on Horse Guards Parade.
The group, led by Kez Appleton, Cameron Sykes, and Sammie Lee, will join other Scouts from across the country in commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. The event promises to be a memorable occasion, filled with music, remembrance, and a shared sense of national pride.
The Richmondshire Scouts are looking forward to the experience, with their leaders highlighting the importance of young people taking part in such historic events. “It’s a real honour for the group to be part of something so significant,” said Kez Appleton. “We’re excited to represent our county and make some lasting memories.”
