The residents of Catterick Village came together to join Brompton & Catterick St Annes Scouting group in their first scarecrow festival. The purpose of this “Big Help Out” event this weekend, has been to do something positive for our local community, make people smile and spread the word of what scouting can offer; not only for the young people but the volunteers involved too.
The event took place 8&9 June, with 17 fantastic and creative scarecrows on display, mapped out into a trail around the village. It has been lovely to see the community support for this event and it has been warming to see the enjoyment and smiles on peoples faces as they have walked around the trail.
The group is always searching to expand our volunteer teams, should anyone wish to find out more about scouting opportunities either as a young person or a volunteer they can get in touch via our social media:

The group would like to say a huge thank you to the residents of Catterick Village for their support and engagement in this event and to watch this space for 2025’s festival!
